Wine is an impetus to a conversation. It’s something to be enjoyed with 1 or more people over lively conversation. Here are some personalities we’d love to drink wine with – #VINOWITH. Join the conversation on Twitter and tag who you’d like to have #VINOWITH.
Aziz Ansari & Eric Wareheim
Season 2 of Aziz’s highly-acclaimed Netflix series, Master of None, dropped onto the binge radar last week. The second round of MoN takes place in Italy and highlights the best the country has to offer in the way of grub, scenery, and grape.
Aziz & Eric
In addition to Aziz and Eric’s real-life friendship, Eric happens to have his own wine brand: Las Jaras (coming soon). Until the first batch of of Las Jaras Rosé – also affectionately known as piss – comes out this summer, we’ll gladly settle on a splash of 2015 Tiberio Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo with these two buds. This dense Rosé delivers a very berry front-end, followed up by a deceivingly heavier body than most in its class and finishes super crisp. An Italian summer beauty.

Need I say more? This guy has the ill fortune of being – or at least attempting so – a rational mouthpiece for the unhinged railcar known as Trump. If anyone has earned a glass of pristine vino poured by a heavy hand, it’s Sean “Spicy” Spicer.

Spicy deserves an equally picante wine. We’ll pop open a 2012 Foxen Syrah ($50). Any of the Foxen vineyards will do but Tinaquaic is a mighty fine bet in this case. This peppery drop is stuffed with inky fruit and will tackle your palette with brutish beauty. Plus, its Santa Maria Valley roots that lie east of Santa Barbara will cater to Spicer’s deep patriotism for domestic product.

The world’s best Sean Spicer impersonator happened to host Saturday Night Live for the FIFTH time last week. Aside from her brilliant take on Spicy’s gum-chewing, podium-riding, bush-hiding shenanigans, Melissa is one of the funniest people alive.
We’d post-haste split a bottle of 2014 Chateau Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Chardonnay with her. This treat from Washington State bursts with bright apple and peach yet drinks elegantly – parallel to Melissa’s personality. It’s like cracking jokes on first sip and waxing poetic about life’s purpose by the last glass…only to bust up laughing at the austerity of it all. You’re drinking solid wine at a bargain price, you armchair philosopher!
